NDIS ONE

I am someone who is autistic, intellectual disabled and is currently looking after my mother because of the fact that she was currently unwell and she has Tuberculosis . I need to take care of her and help her with going through the doctors and to the hospitals and she is having a difficult time and she had a difficult life in making those sacrifices and now because things aren’t going well. It has a huge effect on how am I going to take care of my mother, especially when she goes older and she had no support except me.

This is harder as this has not been considered and none of you are talking about this.

And this was not been addressed and this is a problem and for someone like me who is Vietnamese and had expectations of having to take care of my mother and taking care of others. This is an issue.

This is something that I need to address as this has not been mentioned nor that it has been considered as my needs were dismissed or cancelled. Or act like that you didn’t even matter or didn’t even care.

And I am disgusted and I am angry and I am outraged with the fact that these needs haven’t been considerate and I was furious and fuming.

The needs of a Vietnamese person with a intellectual disability didn’t matter, they are not being considered of my needs nor my feelings and this has disgusted me.

It wasn’t me being Vietnamese. It was the language that I speak, it was the way that I connect, that mattered to and I want you to please be understanding and please reconsider of my cultural needs because this is no joke and this is very serious and we Vietnamese ladies with autism and intellectual disability, we faced far more with no mental health support, no emotional support and we get a lot of pushbacks and often we feel so disrespected. And we were treated like garbage. And we have been treated like garbage in a system that did not even care about me and my thoughts.

And that is wrong.

That is unacceptable by the way that you have treated us.

You have not been considered the needs of a Vietnamese woman with a intellectual disability as we do a lot of work and I had to work hard to take care of my mother and the community and I have been going through the immense stress with them not understanding of me of who the hell I really am and not been understood or been taken care of. This is a very concerning for a person with a intellectual disability who not only took care of her mother, she has also going through a mental exhaustion and emotional labor and racial trauma and being bullied all of her life and being hated. And being blamed.

I have to admit to God that I was fearful for this vile disgusting dangerous bill. I felt that the whole thing is so sickening and disgusting that this should never ever had happened as this put women with a disabilities with more pain and trauma and YOU, you have not been considered of disabled women like myself who had a lot of responsibilities and had a lot to juggle and had to look after my mother and my family.

I am deeply concerned about the consequences. It’s because of the lack of supports available for women with a disability who has to look after her mother and the community and her family.

It is because that there will be no support left and how the freaking hell are we going to live if there is nothing left of us

We Vietnamese disabled and autistic women who has a lot of responsibilities, she is tired and she is fed up with you all. I am fed up and I am angry and fuming with the lack of support.

How am I going to take care of my mother?

Have you been considered of my feelings?

Have you taken the time to even consider caring at the very least?

I am sick and betrayed with the lack of support and the appreciation and I am fed up. This dangerous disgusting bill will not only hurt me but many others as well and this should be scrapped. In order to support women with a disability, looking after aging parents. Please be considerate.

And please include us in the arrangement.

And please include us in the deal

Please tell us the truth

Please be honest

We disabled women have every right to know the details.

We have every right to know what is happening.

And we need to know the fine details,

And what you have given me is unacceptable.

It is not what we wanted and we have the right for the truth. To ensure that no one does and us disabled women deserve support and justice.

We are tired and exhausted as women and we deserve to know what is going on

And we women with a disability will need some form of support, so I can at least in be in a position in taking responsibility of my parents and my community

And the idea of this should be supporting us. Not the other way around, it should allow me to make my life easier

It should make my life a little easier in taking care of other people and my mother.

Not harder

You are making it too hard and you are making it too difficult for me and it’s unacceptable. It’s plain wrong and it’s beyond sickening and this should never ever happened. And this should be gone, for the sake of those who are suffering right now and I have suffered enough. It’s because of the stress that I am currently in and it’s not right
