National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026 Submission 188
To whom it may concern
I am an NDIS participant.
The proposed changes to the NDIS are dangerous, ignorant, and cruel.
As a disabled Australian I will be directly harmed by the changes. I and many others will lose critical support, leaving us dangerously vulnerable. This is not theoretical. NDIS participants have already lost their lives – to lack of care, and to suicide – following harmful decisions from the NDIA.
Money spent by the NDIS goes back into the economy. It is a productive way to spend money, in contrast with many other parts of the Australian economy – which simply funnel cash upstream to holders of capital for them to sit on.
Do not make these changes. They will be a stain on the nation’s conscience and the legacy of this government and directly result in neglect, harm, and death to disabled Australians.
