continue essential therapy supports. This creates a direct risk of regression during a critical stage of brain development.
We are also unable to access necessary equipment trials and assistive technology supports because there is no funding available for the required assessment reports. This effectively means that even when clinicians identify essential equipment, we cannot progress because the system does not fund the pathway required to access it. We currently have two equipment trials that need to be completed within the next two weeks; however, we cannot obtain the reports required to secure this equipment due to lack of funds covering report costs. I'm also managing my child's complex care needs alone daily with constant therapy implementation, feeding management, medical monitoring, behavioral escalation handling appointments sleep deprivation ongoing advocacy The NDIS itself has become an additional full-time burden on top already extremely complex care demands Another significant issue our location Tamborine relatively remote disability services Support workers routinely require travel at least minutes each way reach home Travel time appropriately accounted in 's funding As result approximately hours support shift lost significantly reducing actual funded support hours available her I must raise serious concern regarding escalating self-injurious behaviors including severe head-banging dropping episodes These behaviors increasing frequency severity now placing me physical risk intervene keep safeThese behaviors present extreme medical risks VP shunt `has undergone six brain surgeries Specialist documentation supporting PBS-funded intervention reduce these behaviors due potential further neurological injury additional surgery Despite request denied by NDIS At present There are no funded behavioural supports manage or reduce these behaviors leaves dangerous critical gap plan both and myself ongoing risk Deeply concerned despite overwhelming evidence specialist recommendations reflected decision-making Reports provided fully read properly considered planning process enormous gaps between

The current level of underfunding during these critical early developmental years will not reduce long-term costs —itwill increase them.Without appropriateearlyintervention, hersupportneeds willbecomesignificantlyhigher, andopportunitiestobuildfunctionalskillsduringthe mostimportantdevelopmental windowmaybepermanentlylost.
