Submission on the National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment Bill

(Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026

Dear Committee,

I am writing to make submission about this Bill, particularly changes affecting NDIS criteria potentially excluding approximately 160k existing users. The introduction also mandates provider registration has been poorly received due to its impact being unconscionable upon vulnerable participants who rely heavily on their supports already provided under these schemes.

and/or do not create unnecessary barriers to people within the disability community doing this. from participating in the scheme as providers. I hope you will do everything in your power to ensure that your government does not unconscionably exclude current participants or small community-based providers. I don’t have a disability; neither am I involved directly; or do i purport to represent someone else’s views, as an Australian citizen who pays taxes: supports protecting it in all ways possible.
