Submission 1948 this submission is very short. the time period for discussion of these extremely impactful changes(on nolis participantsandtheir familiesandthen greater Australia community)which are enormous anda potentially catastrophic,isextremelyshort.Asido nothave thetimeorcapacitytoaddressseparateelements,andmany manydisabledindividualsanddisability advocacy groupshave donethis,i will simply saythatthislegislationchangesentire ethosof thenidisandtherPRinvokedbythegovernmenttoturntabledandedabledAustralians against ndisparticipantsissocking.I am60yo.i havedisabledsince( butdiagnosed at )iwasacceptedinto ndis3 years ago and havespersonallywitnessedtheshiftincommunityfromappreciation toneutralitytowardsndistonowamuchmorecritical,negative,sometimesabusive personalattacks onparticipants.ipersonallexperiencedreductionsincapacity building supports even though my disability caused a stroke last yearandi’vefar more andreverse impairments than previously(already determine as severe,permanentandalifelong)iamaasking that this legislation not be passed , the government cease all changes that impact participan ts directly especially arbitrary “growth” restrictions which have been estimated to remove over 100.00 people from support .Andthe-governmentinvest in real consultation with Australiansespecially disabled Australias and their informalsupports instead of PR for drastic cuts.
