National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026
Submission 2027
To the senate committee,
I am not on the NDIS, and don’t anticipate will change in the immediate future. I know a number of people who have benefited from it. After hearing their concerns around the proposed changes I decided to look into them myself, and so am now writing to you with my own severe misgivings.
I could point out how in a larger context this is an “savings at any cost“ approach to very vulnerable group of people that these roadblocks are meant make both getting using benefits harder those who need it more specific concern take expanded power grants Minister Health far able understand purpose cut funding without appeal ensure hypothetical savings met goal implied wording itself where “the financial sustainability scheme” given special attention don’t think should give ministers greater powers good reason terrorise disabled save money“not can approve If minister needs then we new minister could try argue rest bill but short time slow writer sure there’s some policy identify lack expertise due intent behind whole opposed bill as Yours sincerely, redacted: s45 - Material obtained confidence Disclosure would found action breach confidentiality
