Submission 2033 My submission against The National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill** **2026 is as follows: Please do not make cuts to the NDIS. Theese changes fundamentally affect the most vulnerable members of our communities, do not address the issue of fraud in any capacity.TheseproposedchangeswillonlycostallAustraliansinthe longrun.The proposed changesto social outingsisaneexcellentpolitical scapegoat,butlosing this,inpractice,willmeanthatpeopleonthenNDISto whom haveenjoyedservicewillnotbeaffordedthesame rightas everyotherAustraliantoaccessandtakepartourcommunities.Socialouting supportisanotjustforentertainment, butfortheregulareverydayoutings thatnon disabled people take so completelygranted it neverconsideredin favourofassumingthatsupportisa ll fun,games,andwastingdollars.Reducing fundingchildrenanother excellentscapegoat.positing parentsdisabled children lazyortryingget outwhat governmentconsiders ‘reasonable’ familyduties.When realityproposals meanfamilies willhavelesstimegarnerpaidemployment mayhavetodropwork altogetherorderakeupslacksupporttheirchildneedsbuthaslost.This put furtherstrain on multitude socia supports and community services.NDIs need better more supportive framework ensure participants treated fairly humanely they can continue live their autonomous lives.But these proposals only make life disabled Australians harder than already are incredibly ableistsociety.
