Concerns about inadequate consultation period and Bill content (Participant experience)

National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026

Submission 2055 Good morning, I am writing because I am deeply concerned about the proposed changes to the NDIS. The two-week consultation period that has been provided is inadequate. Providing such a short consultation period contravenes the government’s own best-practice policy on consultation, which recommends 30-to-redacted: s47A - Business affairs* *of an agency: to 10 days. Limiting consultation periods on such large-and-important issue is grave-concerning especially-in-light-of-the-fact-that-many-disabled-persons-take-longer-to organise submissions due-cognitive-differences increased-fatigue need-for-support-with understanding issues composing-submissions etc Shortening this consultation-period amounts-excluding many-disabled persons. I also gravely concern content of bill. honestly fear life if these change allowed proceed Please do not pass-Bill current form removes rights reduces choice control will harm disabled people in our community Kind regards,
