Autistic person seeks support to function (Participant experience)

NDIS Submission

I am diagnosed autistic, which, although debated, is a PERMANENT DISABLED. I am disabled and I always will be. Before I had access to the NDIS I was in hospital for a while following a suicide attempt. After having been registered with the NDIS, I now receive the bare minimum support I need to survive. I see a support worker and a psychologist once a month. I only had enough funding for an OT Functional Capacity assessment to be done, which is now exhausted. We are begging for mercy. Disabled and neurodivergent people are not the nation’s scapegoats. Please let me live with the support I NEED to function (as a bare minimum)*.
