To the Senate Community Affairs Committee, I am writing to register my strong opposition to the proposed NDIS Future Generations Bill and to express deep concern about the changes the Government is proposing to the NDIS. As a community member who values the rights and inclusion of people with disability, I believe the proposed changes are unjust and risk people’s rights,safety, and independence. These proposed changes would reduce choice andcontrol, limit access to the community and place disabled people at risk of isolation.I respectfully urge the Committee to protect the rights of people withdisabilityand to ensure the NDIS continues to uphold its founding principles. I asktheCommittee to: Reject the proposed cuts and any measures that reduce social andcommunityparticipation.Guarantee rights to review and appeal so people can challenge decisionsthat affect their lives.Allowchoice anda nd control including ability use providers one’s choosingregistered or unregistered while maintaining appropriate safeguards.Allowingthesechanges proceedwouldrisk returning time whenpeoplewith disabilityexcluded devalued too often neglected abused While current system notperfect enables people participatecontribute be recognised equal members society Please consider these concerns do passNDISFutureGenerationsBill.Kind regards
