I am a 23 year old NDIS participant. I am physically, neurologically, and psychosocially disabled. The NDIS cuts have led me to have to rely on crowdfunding to get a new wheelchair because my old crowdfunded $1300 so I would be able to access the community independently and safely again.Even this new wheelchair is not specific and customised to my needs but its good enough for the meantime Even though I had full OT report that stated neededcustom wheelchair NDIS instead fully cut funding physical disabilities don’t know how why happened claiming it was mistake made ago.I also survivor DV from ex-fiancé who carer need more support hours supports living without full-time carer funding just got cut.The bill going keep puttingdisabled at even higher risk things like DV or family violence as well risking neglecting many disabled which in turn risking their lives The does consider person environment would notconsider that am survivor of DV parents doesn’t know howsupport me cancer survivor long term side effects chemotherapy further.NDIS only fundsupports one approved primary disability considers those by different compounding up medically complex history myself disabled ways notjust physiologically psychologically combined.requirement try all available treatments first order gain limits financially unable treatments especially if Medicare PBS funded inherently classist prevents early intervention.block another compensation scheme may limit assistance someone can get if someone’s than what these schemes provide gap care leading harm people potentially death. Changing legal time process NDIS 21 days will kill people no doubt about pressure overworked hospital system progress quickly with disability stay longer due wait times discharged have any home supports can hurt killing disabled people everyone supportive around drop everything look after someone disable.Disabled being trampled government Show us you care about disabled harming
