National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026
Submission 2147 Good morning. I’m a carer of my 58-year-old husband with Young-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease. We’ve been part of the NDIS program since four years ago; this initiative has enabled me significantly to assist him lead his best possible life—though there are limits on what is achievable given current circumstances! The upcoming reforms being considered should ideally address some issues within the system without completely altering its core structure or functionality which would otherwise compromise essential services provided under such programs; it seems crucially important now more than ever before that these modifications don’t result in drastic changes impacting upon those who rely heavily hereon, as they provide vital assistance towards maintaining quality-of-life standards amidst ongoing challenges faced due illness progression etc., thankfully, I hope and pray for continued progressions toward ensuring adequate support remains available across generations ahead.
