To The Senate Community Affairs Legislation Committee Regarding:
My connection to this issue

The concept described here highlights how having trusted individuals within one’s environment provides essential safety, grounding me amidst challenges not designed around neurodiverse needs; these hours keep me safe away from emergency systems.
National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026
Submission 2156
Understands my neurodivergent and psychosocial needs is life-changing. Without it, your mental health rapidly deteriorates and the situation becomes a matter of survival.
What I want the committee to understand
You can’t think every situation as being exactly alike; two people with identical disabilities can experience significant differences in their experiences due to disability type alone. It’s essential for anyone making such an important decision to hear what we feel about something that helps make living here possible. My support team keeps me connected to society; in its absence severe anxiety and executive paralysis mean impossible to leave home safely or manage basic human necessities.
My position on this bill
I ask Committee members to recognize these funding cuts directly threaten your safety and my well-being.Pleas listen carefully our real stories and protect daily supports which keep us alive independently. If absolutely necessary, rework so it doesn’t harm those whose lives are affected because right now all this will do more damage than help. Thank you for reading, From someone who would probably be dead without using them.
