To whom it may concern:

I wish to express my deep concerns about the big changes that the Albanese Government announced regarding NDIS changes in the lead up the this year’s Budget.

I want the Scheme to be sustainable and provide the services it was created to provide.

I want the Government to address fraud and rorting.

I want the Government to address the price guide.

I want the Government to address the providers scripting expensive equipment that ends up not fit for purpose.

What I don’t want is a 30% reduction in my son’s Core - which supports his community access.

He has cerebral palsy quadraplegia, is non verbal, nil by mouth, PEG fed. Confined to a manual wheelchair, incontinent and totally reliant on a support worker for everything he wants and needs.

He has a private vehicle funded by family to allow him access to the community because he doesn’t fit on a bus and maxi taxi disability vehicles are few and far and unreliable.

Without a support worker he can do nothing. Not even scratch an itch.

Without enough Core funding to get him out of the group home environment he becomes the one left in the corner. Isolated and depressed because he has no voice. Don’t turn back time on him.

He absolutely deserves exactly what he has now, a full and happy life.
