National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026

  • I was horrified and triggered to the point of a panic attack by the announcement that neurodiverse people were going to be removed from the NDIS.
  • This is wrong and discriminatory
  • I believe that the Australian Government must act for ALL Australians and not create two classes of Australians: the acceptable, privileged and healthy and the despisedand disabled. This is Nazi Eugenics territory and I can not believe that an ALPGovernment –the party which has traditionally claimed to be the friend of thefinancially and socially insecure - could even contemplate attacking andimpoverishing its own citizens.

Robodebt demonstrated the shortcomings of any automation of assessment. Despite the clear evidence of Robodebt’s systemic failure and the human cost borne by its victims, the new provisions seem determined to make the same mistake over again without young learning from previous total failure AI serves nobody except vast global parent companies like Palantir. The NDIS certainly does have issues ongoing economic sustainability BUT firstly are putting effect use-value price head vulnerable Aussies There needs more robust policing investigation scammers poor services Excess profits confiscated banned future sector operating fraudulent schemes should deported once charged Investigation links between disability support organised crime who see easy money Real people not lucrative budget lines criminals More money put better training health professionals indeed places available train health care workers disability support workers truly professional level instead relying untrained people random “aides” often newly arrived Australia little literacy qualifications English third fourth language which impacts quality both care communication they provide Reliance army unskilled underpaid part time contracts greater issue dysfunction deskilling Australian industry including disability aged childcare mental healthcare due profit model corporate interests running system consolidating provision access granted dependent companies lobbying successive Federal governments set up meet needs driven health-care corporations clients direct experiences living disabilities long term impacted The commercial health care system fostered reliance cheap overseas labour also welcomes poor regulatory regimes low levels scrutiny high accountability eat into margins government need pay for professional level service reform education around health care offer level of support that people on NDIS Punishing end users and clients greed bad actions fraudulent service providers seems perversely back front response major crisis in disability support can’t understand why ended inverted solution clearly visible understandable problem Need a system economy well-being ALL Australians just wealthy healthy central guiding principal

  • If a humane and caring Australian system of public governance and a generous and relevant scheme of provision for funding disability support is seen as unaffordable, it is time to properly tax and excise the resources sector that parasites off the Australian people, especially disabled, physically and mentally impacted Australians. Then there would be funds enough for the NDIS to sustain itself into the future.

I can not believe that an ALP government could seriously plan for and organise a system in which people with a legitimate need are denied appropriate services and support.
