I fear autistic individuals’ mental health could deteriorate if this ableist legislation passes; increased suicides/murder-suicides among disabled communities seem inevitable without reforms. as an individual who communicates effectively about autism issues to others within our community, I feel government policies aim at punishing those receiving assistance under NDLS due to neurotypical communication standards being applied universally across all people with disabilities? The media’s role seems complicit too, amplifying negative narratives against autistics while ignoring valid concerns raised regarding fairness and equity of access to services provided via NDIS program; it takes immense courage from myself & siblings alike to stand up against such injustices affecting verbal/non-verbal Autistic persons regardless age group involved here today!
