National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026
Submission 2322 My family hasn’t always had access to the NDIS. I say ‘family’ because even though it’s the participant who directly benefits from support, everyone else has improved as well due to this assistance provided within families where members can’t provide everything they need without neglecting other duties like caring responsibilities toward other relatives under similar circumstances; hence recognizing a reduction means cutting down on how much Australian families spend together; increase caregiving roles reduces income among already struggling communities making them pay more than necessary for disability-specific items not needed elsewhere; generational care becomes inevitable being passed onto children or siblings with disabled brothers/sisters over long periods leading these cuts affecting all aspects beyond just NDIS itself but also touching upon core values of our society and its people alike.
