The support allowed leave house walk accompanied appointments events participate skills building programs independently return meaningful work turned life around now working days per week pay taxes volunteer local community see regularly reconnected friends occasionally go bushwalk still deal disability NDIS support continues bringing level improved functioning meant purpose Life again at risk losing progress should bill pass strongly opposed urge MPs oppose it Most what assisted social Community Participation Support which proposed slash message disabled people like government cares about alive right meaning dignity connection others have Friends on range disabilities whose lives will be put if this Bill passes One friend requires her NDIS so she can eat reasonably healthy meal day cooked by worker too disabled exert energy cook Without NDIS won’t change sheets wash clothes clean House shower herself or eat regularly probably wouldn’t even tell anyone struggling could die other friends need access to NDIS Function impaired already strict rules permanency cannot occasional leave the house shopping food contribute paying taxes return work scheme saved lives If passed many will die destroyed Lives matter deserve basic dignity None would get state systems ended This doesn’t exist yet Choice control brought back dignified invisible suffering isolation
