National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026 Submission 2398
We are parents of a 24 year old young man ( ) with a moderate intellectual disability, Autism Level 3, epilepsy & AdHD.
We don’t support the cuts you are proposing to the NDIS.
has been in a special Ed setting through out his school life & we rely on NDIS supports to help improve his life and have access to the outside world. He cannot manage life on his own. He would be very vulnerable in the community without any support.
Access to Social & community Participation is a lifeline for him, gaining some level of independence .
We (his parents) both work and we need supports to ensure he stays safe either at home or at his day program.
Whilst we approve of the aim of reducing fraud from the NDIS, cutting funding for genuine participants, like us seems very unfair and we cannot support it going forward.
