National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026 Submission 2499
I am against cuts to the NDIS and fear that people with disabilities will not be able to lead lives of dignity with the supports that they need. People with disabilities are already statistically more likely to be living under the poverty line, the idea of cutting funding for this population is frightening and embarrassing for our society.
I am also against mandatory registration for disability support workers as I have heard people with disability express fear this would cut them off from the support workers who they trust and feel safe with.
