Submission on the NDIS (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026
My main concern about this bill is that it does not take into account how these changes will severely impact the lives of NDIS participants.
While there is a concern with misuse of funds, the blame should not be assumed it is with the NDIS participant rather institutions/organisations/providers who take advantage of NDIS funds by extorting their prices. These proposed amendments such as greater scrutiny to individual funding and reassessment plans only makes it harder for people to get the support they need. It also adds to the burden of having to prove we are deserving of support when it should be a given. These changes don’t protect or serve anyone who relies on the NDIS. Knowing that some people can’t access some services due to niche services or limited providers, it leaves people behind not being able to live the life we want with family and friends. It only leaves us isolated from our community.
I do not support the proposed bill because, it will harm and significantly reduce quality of life for all NDIS participants. I want the government to withdraw the NDIS (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) bill.
