I’m severely and permanently disabled. I am one of the people the politicians say NDIS was designed for. So why am I left terrified of the result of these funding cuts?
The government says they are targeting fraud but announces they would be cutting off 160,000 participants. That isn’t targeting fraud - that’s targeting disabled people.
To the NDIS my life is a game. The people who are deciding whether I have the support to live have no qualifications in the medical field and yet they decide whether I live or die.
I spent 4 months in hospital due to complications from my disability. We did a change of circumstances to update my function and instead of adding funding, NDIS removed the funding id had approved for years.
This isn’t life or death for these politicians but it is for people like me.
These laws don’t protect Australians they protect the wealthy.
Please protect us because the government isn’t.
