National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026
Submission 3069
09/07/2026
To whom It May Concern,
My name is and I live with two disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD Level
- and a Vision Impairment. I do not have the functional capacity to write a submission in which I outline exactly how every proposed change to NDIS legislation via The Bill will affect me. This is for multiple reasons:
-
I have multiple disabilities that impaired my functional capacity
-
My functional capacity has been further reduced by previous funding cuts and changes to the NDIS from October 2024.
-
I am currently self-represented at a NDIS Tribunal against the NDIA and their lawyers.
-
Every time I try to write a submission outlining the negative effects these proposed changes will have on my life, I become overwhelmed, overstimulated, emotionally and psychologically distressed, sufferer physical affects and exhaustion. Thereby further deteriorating my already impaired and reduced functional capacity to live daily life let alone advocate for myself properly.
-
If this submission was handwritten, the ink would be running and paper watermarked from my tears.
I cannot keep composing and recomposing this submission. I am disappointed at this submission, but I will be more disappointed in myself if I do not submit anything. I know this feeling as I missed the last deadline due to the above. I cannot keep thinking about this, I cannot keep living like this, please stop disempowering already disadvantaged people living with disabilities and listen to them. Imagine all the people whose functional capacity is so reduced/impaired they cannot pull something together for a submission. Their voices are there, but they are silent as the system has already oppressed them.
Kind regards,
