Parents/carers need to work less hours in order to drive their children to appointments and provide other support. This would therefore mean having less money, making it more important to receive financial support.
Alternative to cutting NDIS funds If schools integrated topics/subjects/activities for autistic children to work on their skills within mainstream classrooms, it would collectively reduce the need for therapy. It won’t replace therapy, but it would reduce the hours needed, therefore reducing the amount of funding they need.
