National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026
Submission 3115
NDIS
Submission
I asked that the Government withdraw the Bill, based on implementing the use of AI and/or computer algorithms to make decisions regarding the lives of participants.
I further ask the Government to put the humans back into the process of accepting and supporting participants.
I am disabled and have been disabled for over 20 years. Yet because the cause of my disablement is dynamic and rare, the NDIA deems it not a permanent impairment. The decision to not accept me as a participant was based upon ignorance and a lack of collaboration and discussion between me and NDIA staff.
The proposed changes will create more of this type of situation and lead to further disablement and potentially deaths.
I urge you to remember that participants are people, NDIA staff and support workers are people. Please include us, the disabled humans of Australia, in the discussion and the process of improving the NDIS
