Dear committee members,

I write to request that each and every one of you ensure that the right of NDIS participants to appeal NDIA decisions is maintained.

I make this request as an NDIS participant who also has relatives, friends, and work colleagues who are NDIS participants. I am therefore well aware of the growth and productivity that occurs when NDIA decisions are correct, and the regression and danger that incorrect NDIA decisions cause.

Neither humans nor computers are capable of always making correct decisions regarding someone else’s personal circumstances. This is especially so in a system as complex as the NDIS.

The right of participants to appeal NDIA decisions is crucial in insuring that the NDIS is a system of which all Australians can be proud.

Sincerely,

Dr Amanda Tink
