Submission 3242
Submission on the NDIS Amendment Bill
Name: Carly Findlay OAM
I am a: Disabled person ☐ My main concern about this Bill is: Disabled people have been treated like the problem, when its providers who are mostly rorting the system.
This Bill may affect people I know because: They are scared they won’t have access to supports that allow them independence in community. They are tired of being seen of as a burden an fraudulent.
One example from my experience (if you can): (Optional)
What I want the committee to understand is: Disabled people are not the problem here. We deserve greater respect.
My position on this Bill:
I do not support it☐ I have serious concerns☐ Because: the NDIS was supposed to give disabled people choice and control, and this bill doesn’t allow it.
Thank you,
Carly
