RE NDIS reforms
Please don’t remove participants from the NDIS or make it any harder to become a participant.
As a parent of a participant myself, I know first-hand how long, difficult and expensive the process to become a participant. There are already so many hoops NDIS makes people jump through.
Better care and more targeted support comes from listening to participants more.
Ongoing, NDIS has made a fundamental difference to my family’s life. And I live in fear that our funding will be cut because of misplaced focus.
The need for the NDIS is critical and the impact of removing participants impacts more than those participants. It impacts their family, community and creates fear and panic in the remaining NDIS community.
The NDIS is important and needed support. Needed for everyday Australians to live full lives.
Please, if you’re looking for budget cuts, please look in places that don’t impact the most vulnerable.
