For each concern you choose, write:
Loss or reduction of supports: if I or people I know lose support now we may not be able to access it again.
Community participation: this is NOT a privilege. Disabled people deserve support enabling them to access social, community and leisure activities to prevent isolation and mental/physical health consequences.
Children/families/early intervention: cutting funding largely to families with young children places greater pressures on parents/caregivers. For children with developmental disabilities, early support is crucial. Removing supports reduces parents and families’ time, energy and freedom.
- What I want the committee to understand
Many disabled people and their families are already undersupported as it is. Adequate support is non-negotiable.
- My position on this Bill
I am opposed to any bill that may cut NDIS funding.
