Objections to NDIS assessment practices and systemic failings

‹ PrevPage 1 of 5 · Source p. 1Next ›

I would like to say like the rest of my disabled peers who are currently on the NDIS and speak for those 4.8 million other People with Disabilities who are not, that we’ve been given so little time, that I like so many have not been able to cover everything.

That it’s disgusting this is being rushed not allowing our voices to be heard nor the Senate Committee to adequately scrutinise the newly proposed legislation.

That I like most of my peers want the whole legislation chucked in the bin and a new co design legislation purely addressing fraud be put together.

I object to the drastic and massive claw backs of $35 billion dollars in funding from all existing NDIS clients.

I object to the implementation of I-CAN as an assessment tool when it comes to deciding who can, who can’t be on the NDIS.

These qualified I-CAN assessors are not qualified to use a system that is not disable friendly, feasible or workable.

I-CAN Tool Assessors are not qualified nor trained as disability experts to make such decisions on their dangerous and life changing assessments for the hundreds of thousands of People with Disabilities if not the current 5.5 million disabled.

Some 4.8 million who cannot get onto the NDIS that they rightly deserve all the appropriate support network providers for all People with Disabilities to access for a better quality of life.

I object to the unrealistic belief that the NDIS Minister The Honourable Mark Butler in his major announcements of reforming the NDIS by overhauling this to the point of retrieving $35 billion dollars from ‘the problem scheme’, to put the onus back on families to care for and support People with Disabilities, worse People with Disabilities who have no families and non existent supports.

I object to the NDIS Minister The Honourable Mr. Mark Butler inconceivably putting the onus back onto first and foremost NDIS Clients past and current, to fall back and rely on state and community support services designed to help, when they are non existent or services broken beyond repair or services with limited or no funding, limited or non existent resources.

I object to the current set up of the National Disability Insurance Agency Quality & Safeguards Commission, the lack of true purpose, transparency and implementation of what is their true functioning powers and ability to use them.

All because of political interference and meddling on all sides of politics including the presiding governments past and present to ensure this was the case.

There has been no evidence to best support People with Disabilities

not even from the time the NDIS QSC was first established in the beginning as of 1st July 2018. Like most of my disabled peers, I give the NDIS QSC a vote of no confidence.

I object to the Minister for the NDIS and his peers in the Federal Government and political parties in failing to really look elsewhere and go after the proper culprits who are really the problem source of the costly and massive NDIS blowouts, that being quite a lot of dodgy Support Coordination Companies and underworld criminal gangs and international crime syndicates having infiltrated the NDIS for criminal and money laundering purposes.

I object to all political parties bar the Greens Party knowingly committing Political and Social Herding of People with Disabilities.

I object to the committing and practice of Contemporary Eugenics against People With Disabilities.

I object having my disabilities marginalised and not factoring into my NDIS PLAN, especially the disabilities that I was born with.

I am severe to profoundly deaf with a hearing loss of 90% in both ears, wear two behind the ear hearing aids and I am verbal. I am well spoken to the point that people do not think I am deaf.

I also suffer from extreme PTSD due to being taken away from my parents and family as a baby aged 2 due to wrongful misdiagnosis and wrongful institutionalisation.

My deafness as a disability is not mentioned and factored into my NDIS Plan and has not been since I was first approved back in February 2020.

All of the 4 Coordination Companies that I have been with so far including the current did nothing to rectify this.

My current Support Coordinator that I am with, he said to my face in a meeting on 7th May 2026, told me that my deafness was not a disability and that my disability was PTSD.

I saw my Audiologist at Hearing Australia on the 11th May and disclosed to her what was said in the meeting with my Support Coordinator and she was speechless and horrified. She confirmed that for the type of hearing loss that I others have similarly is actually a disability.

So I object to my disability from birth being left out of my NDIS PLAN.

I object to having decisions regarding my NDIS PLAN and that funding has been reduced made by a Minister, his bureaucrats in his ministerial office, the NDIA and the NDIS none of whom are qualified or experts to be reading such private material and make ill

  • informed decisions that can have serious consequences for anyone on the NDIS, myself included.

  • I object like most of my disabled peers that most people with multiple disabilities should be dictated to and being told that they or I can have only one disability, not multiple disabilities to apply for the NDIS and which will be no longer be factoring into any NDIS plan.

  • It’s not as though before we were born we asked to have one disability, no one has the power over life and death to decide, politicians and their bureaucrats and cost cutting aides included.

  • I object to the constant and repeated demands requested by both the NDIA and the NDIS at the directions by the relevant NDIS Ministers in past and current Federal Governments for supporting medical and disability specialists evidence of all People with Disabilities and NDIS Clients after they have received these medical reports from GP’s, Medical Specialists, Disability Specialists and Disabilty Service Providers, Occupational Therapists to support their applications to the NDIS.

  • This repeated and constant demands for supporting evidence when it is already on record for all NDIS Clients is only adding to the costly blowouts of the NDIS every year since the inception of the NDIS.

  • None of our disability / disabilities will ever change, be cured unless by means of miraculous Heavenly Divinations.

  • I object to the Federal Government and the NDIS Minister as well opposition political parties bar The Greens, weaponising and using the national media to the the mainstream Australian society to the point of glorifying themselves in the Australian parliament, lying and pointing the finger of blame at People with Disabilities being the problem source and root cause of massive and costly blowouts.

  • I strongly object to the NDIS Minister’s stance and means to claw back some $35 billion dollars at the expense of pre existing NDIS Clients currently on the NDIS who are at risk of being kicked off as of now 160,000 in the next year with a further 240,000 by 2030.

With this in mind and the current Federal Government’s determination to rush new legislations to the NDIS, will this result in thousands if not hundreds of thousands of case scenarios of the similar tragedy to that of the Clune Family in Perth, Western Australia? Where Jarrod Clune (50) and Maiwenna (Mai) Goasdoue (49), in desperation ended the lives of their teenage sons Leon (16) and Otis (14) before killing themselves. This happened on 29th / 30th January 2026.

Both innocent boys who were both severely autistic with Otis being non-verbal.

To quote the NDIS Minister The Honourable Mr. Mark Butler at the time of the murder suicide, stating what happened to the family was ‘An unspeakable tragedy.’

And some 3 months later, The Honourable Mr. Mark Butler in defiance of what he previously said in a press statement supposedly in a sense of political empathy, is now steamrolling ahead with making drastic changes to the NDIS, that we are wholeheartedly to blame for the costly blowout costs of the NDIS, as justification for him not as a politician but a politician wanting more power.

Power to the extent of being God deciding who stays on, who goes off the NDIS, virtually in hindsight who lives, who dies.

This to me is an extreme abuse of not only power but overstepping the line of humanity in what being human is all about.

This where I strongly object to the NDIS Minister being allowed / being enabled to having full powers in the Parliament to make ill formed and life changing decisions to People with Disabilities on the NDIS.

I object to People with Disabilities having disabilities that are not just clearly visible but also hidden but picked up by very few, who can’t get onto the NDIS, People with Disabilities with the above mentioned types of disabilities that extreme risk of being kicked off the NDIS with nothing in the way of true and functioning support networks to fall back onto with confidence.

The Health Systems, Mental Health Networks nationwide are all broken, beyond repair. To fall back onto such supports that are no longer functional, non existent is a truly dangerous journey into the virtual unknown for all People with Disabilities.

All because of decisions made by Politicians, their political bureaucrats and aides plus the opposition political parties, who all who have no true knowledge, any ability to understand of what everyday life entails for each person with a disability / more than one disability and the hidden struggles and battles to live independently, let alone qualifications and expertise to truly assess all People with Disabilities.

All the political parties bar The Greens who have cost Taxpayers $599.3 million dollars in setting up The Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability.

222 recommendations were made and took on 13 of these recommendations and accepting 117 recommendations in principle.

I object to not only People with Disabilities past and current being denied such freedom with the proper crucial means to communicate, consult with all parties including the Minister for the NDIS, The Honourable Mr. Mark Butler and his Federal

Page 5

colleagues in government and opposition parties who are all responsible for what is going to happen next.

I object to People with Disabilities have nothing to look forward to in their lives from now on in the way of leading a independent quality way of life each and every day without the very supports designed and implemented by the NDIS to being created and established in the first place.

I object to how People with Disabilities are in every sense of the word, now suffering the extreme political and societal betrayal, transparency and lack of courtesy, respect, the true supports needed are not forthcoming and things in the way of what we call life will get much worse for all People with Disabilities. We are virtually heading back almost to the Dark Medieval Ages.

I object to not only the past and current NDIS Clients, first 160,000 and a further 240,000 being kicked off the NDIS, doing so will have serious far reaching consequences and repercussions, with additional and hidden costs added to the Australian Government’s Federal Budget by having some further 800, 000 - 2,000,000 plus Support Workers no longer having jobs, what then? For them to go onto Centrelink Payments?

I strongly object to the very obvious fact that we as a nationwide community of People with Disabilities who have the same voting rights as Abled bodied People, have been failed in society by both Federal politics along with other opposition parties bar The Greens with presiding government in power and the mainstream Australian media and public.

I object to People with Disabilities in having their very rights to have Choice and Control to choose and pick such relevant, crucial supports that best meet each and every of their disability needs and requirements in order to live be taken completely away.

All this in being denied to be part of our once happy and proud Australian country and society which is no longer anymore.

Lastly and most importantly their freedom of speech, their own voices, their families and carers’ voices, their assisted technology to give a voice to you all to hear us loud and clearly.

Please stand in our corner and support us.

I await to hear from you if and when possible.
