National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026
Submission 4022
To whom it may concern
Please do not pass the NDIS Amendment Bill in its current form. It removes important rights, reduces choice and control, and risks causing significant harm to people with disability.
As someone who works in the education sector, I have seen firsthand the challenges faced by children, families, and classrooms when adequate support and funding are not available. Without appropriate assistance, students can struggle to access learning opportunities, participate fully in school life, and achieve their potential. The impacts are felt not only by the individual child, but also by parents, teachers, other students in same class and the broader community.
Any changes to the NDIS should strengthen support, safeguard rights, and ensure people with disability can continue to access the services they need to live with dignity, independence, and inclusion.
