Submission 4208 — Name Withheld — NDIS Future Generations Bill

National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026

Submission 4208

I am a: Supporter of Disability Rights and Support

My main concern about this Bill is:

-Reduced flexibility and increased rigidity to access to disability support systems.

-Limitations to disability support

-Funding being cut from social support at all levels. Why would the government not support the people who need support the most?

This Bill may affect me / people I support because:

  • Removing rather than increasing support is harmful
  • The people who need this the most are often unheard and not visible to the public
  • when we don’t support people in need, support in other social services slips and becomes the norm

One example from my experience (if you can):

My partner works in service navigation at a local council and is already limited with how they can assist people seeking help with NDIS support. This is going to make things much worse for the people who need help!

What I want the committee to understand is:

The government has a duty to support people with disabilities and make access easier, not more limiting! The ramifications for this extend further than NDIS. Social support is extremely important for all Australians, whether or not they use them.

My position on this Bill:

I have serious concerns. What are our tax’s paying for if the government makes access to NDIS more complicated and limited? Tax the billionaires and the corporations. Make this country social forward! This is moving us further back and it’s deeply concerning for our future as a country and the class disparity. It’s completely unfair and unethical.
