National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026
Submission 4222 - Supplementary Submission
I am a NDIS participant I have Secondary Progressive MS which is quite debilitating for me.
I have quite severe cognitive issues such as memory loss, word finding issues, attention and focus and executive functioning so this means issues with planning and tasks and general organisation.
I can barely remember to flush the toilet or brush my teeth let alone eat all my meals or take my tablets.
If I am left alone it is super dangerous as I have swallowing issues so it becomes a safety issue like life or death which Id like to think Mr Chalmers and Mr Bulter would not want participants to die but then again who knows.
You cannot cut my funding in Community assistance for the reasons about because again I cannot be left on my own I barely have any sense of direction on my own and my support workers point out to me which way to walk next for me.
They open bottles of drink for me cut my food for me into small bites so it is safer to eat so I do not choke I just choked on Friday and if it was not for my support worker I’d be dead.
This is not a joke people at least not for me I do not abuse my funds I need them to live my life to be safe but somewhat independent.
I need capacity building for weekly physio and exercise physiologist to maintain strength and core and balance etc without and my body detoriates which is very, very bad.
I wind up bed bound and I start to think why not inalive myself. Heck I am already thinking that now as are alot of people right because you are seem to hate us and want us gone.
Gone from planet earth.
You need to think about what it is you are doing to people and their families.
Me I have no family and no friends so you would really be f#cking me over ten times so I would be looking saying bye to this earth I don’t want to I love life and I used to love the NDIS and what it provided me.
I am scared now terrified.
Please help and right this ship before it is too late.
