Submission 496 — Name Withheld — NDIS Future Generations Bill

National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026 Submission 496

I am a: Disabled person who is not on the NDIS

My main concern about this Bill is:

Unreasonable cuts to the NDIS will further limit the way disabled people can interact with society. This will also remove the tens of thousands of jobs in the service industry and negate the billions in economic activity that the NDIS created (afdo).

This Bill may affect people I support because:

● Disabled people deserve to be able to live their lives ● The NDIS helps people live full lives and maintain gainful employment ● Disability service providers should not be left in the lurch because the government doesn’t think their jobs are beneficial

What I want the committee to understand is:

I want the Government to withdraw this Bill. The use of automated systems has never worked in the past (think robodebt) and end up costing the government more than if they just paid people in the first place and thus should not be used to measure eligibility.

The NDIS does immeasurable good for Australians. A cut to the NDIS is a cut to the people of Australia, and this cut will leave us with bloody gaping wounds.

My position on this Bill:

I do not support it

Because: The NDIS already does not support everyone who needs it, so why make more people destitute in trying to get the help they need.
