Service provider fraud impacting NDIS program efficiency (Individual advocacy)

National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026

Submission 510

I am writing to you not as a person living with a disability, but as a business and property owner and payer of hundreds of thousands of tax in the last few years.

Often I find what politicians do with my tax dollars to be either ine icient, ine ective, downright wasteful, corrupt or a combination of those elements. One of the only things you people spend my hard earned money on that I am happy about is supporting social programs, which includes the NDIS and other services.

While you managed to deliver a poorly run program, it was a program nonetheless. Anyone with any operational skills whatsoever can see that the issue is not with the NDIS participants, but the service providers scamming the system. Rather than punching down on disabled people, why don’t you spend your e orts fixing the policy and making it work properly with government employees delivering the services and plugging the gap with cost-controlled private services.

You have an opportunity to do the right thing, or be remembered by history for being cowards.
