National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026 Submission 53
To whom it may concern,
I am writing in regards to the changes to the NDIS.
I have been a support worker for over 3 years and I have met a lot of people that deserve to receive the help that they do as they suffer intense mental disorders and to see them struggle even more now that their help will be taken away from them is disgusting.
These people are often unable to look after themselves and it’s my job to help them do that. Not only will they be affected but my job is also affected.
Coming from someone who also suffers from mental illness, I am able to relate to a lot of my clients and it also gives me purpose in my life to help them and I’m grateful that I’m able to say that this is my job. So not only will they be affected but I will as well as this is my income and as we all know these times are really tricky for everyone in Victoria, especially.
Please do not make these changes to the NDIS permanently, or just better manage how the funds are being used and who they’re being used by. I believe that every Australian deserves the help that they’re getting.
There are obviously people that have taken advantage of this scheme AND of our countries generosity to its citizens and I would hate to say it taken away for the people that use it correctly and don’t take advantage of the system.
