National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026
Submission 658
Stop the NDIS Cuts
Saving money by targeting the most vulnerable members of society is reprehensible. Anyone who votes for this legislation should be ashamed of themselves.
The government says it has a budget problem. Harming disabled people by cutting their funding is a cruel solution. Tax gas, tax the 1%, or cut funding elsewhere. Maybe cut those subs that might never arrive? (Or might never be under Australian control.)
Punishing disabled people for provider fraud attacks the wrong people. Disabled people will die or acquire further disabilities from these cuts. Others will be stuck in their beds or homes, unable to do basic living activities the rest of us take for granted. Instead, properly regulate providers, like they should have been from the beginning.
Stop spending government money on focus groups and campaigns to undermine the NDIS. This is an embarrassing waste of funds. Be honest with people instead. We can work towards a solution together, but spreading propaganda makes that harder.
The vision of the NDIS was to support disabled people in their regular daily activities. Return to this vision that you promised Australians.
