Submission 89 — Name Withheld — NDIS Future Generations Bill

National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026 Submission 89

NDIS submission • What does the NDIS mean for you right now? Now the ndis allows me to live a relatively okay life . I have many disabilities. I need lots of help to live an okay life . • How do you feel about the proposed changes to the NDIS Act? They would strip a lot of people of a life . If I was removed or reduced from the NDIS I would not be able to survive or live a relatively independent life . • Do you feel these changes have been explained clearly enough? No . No one knows what’s happening - everyone is stressed as nothing has been explained clearly . No one knows who will be affected and how much • What would these changes mean for you, your family, friends, carers, or community? I do not have any outside support . I would be a burden constantly on the health system to no end . • What would happen if your social and community supports were reduced or removed? I only have a very very limited social engagements as it is as my social autism affects me . I would have none if my support was removed and / or reduced • What would happen if your capacity building supports were reduced or removed

⁃ or if you never had access to them in the first place? I need a lot of help in life . Without them I wouldn’t survive very long at all .
