Submission 906 — Name Withheld — NDIS Future Generations Bill

National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026 Submission 906

Submission on the NDIS Amendment Bill

Name:

I am a: ☐ Disabled person ☐ Family member / supporter ☐ Clinician / worker ☐ Other: ___________________

My main concern about this Bill is:

I am concerned that this bill will leave vulnerable citizens in difficult positions unable to seek and acquire help. By making application and renewal harder, disabled people who are likely to have difficulty completing these tasks may be locked out, not as a result of lack of need but rather the opposite.

This Bill may affect me / people I support because:

☐ It will increase the amount of labour required to receive help making disabled people’s lives materially harder.

☐ It will limit the amount of support people are able to get.

What I want the committee to understand is:

Disabled people, like all citizens, deserve support form their government. That is the function of taxes, I want nothing more than for my taxes to go towards helping people, materially improving the lives of Australians. I am entirely unconcerned by the idea that some people may be receiving NDIS funding without meeting criteria, so long as people who do require help garner help.

My position on this Bill:

☐ I support it ☐ I do not support it ☐ I have serious concerns

Because: I want the lives of disabled people in Australia to continue to be supported by the Australian government.
