Concerns regarding grandchild's future due to NDIS cuts (Family or carer experience)

National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026

Submission 955 C.- Submission to the Senate Community Affairs Committee

  • Opposing the NDIS Future Generations Bill

Regarding the NDIS Future Generations Bill 2026

My name is Jenny White

I have a Grandchild with a disability, and I am deeply concerned about the changes this

government if proposing to make to our NDIS. I am writing to you to oppose the new bill.

As a parent I am extremely concerned for my Grandchildchild’s future.

So, I am asking the committee to listen to families of disable people and take into account our life experience when considering the changes.

My Grandchild has the right to participate safely and without risk in the community. All of this will be put in jeopardy with the proposed cuts to the NDIS.

I implore the committee to reject or change the proposed cuts to reduce social & community participation support.

Ensure that people with disability have the right to a review process and that the minister does not have the power to cut funding without appeal.

Kind Regards,
