We have received invaluable support and guidance through Lapstone Early Intervention when initially applying for the NDIS and submitting our one year review recently.
It is beneficial to actually sit with someone who is educated in the field of early intervention and put together a valuable plan for your child. I feel that the people that are employed by the NDIA are not “experts” in the field nor can apply empathy for what the family is going through- therefore not adding anything of value to an application/review. They are simply just asking you set questions and writing down the answers.
I found that having my son’s review completed by one Lapstone Early Intervention’s educators made the process a lot easier on us. We were able to put together some strong goals to submit for our review.
I hope the government continues to conduct reviews in this manner.
