Subject: RE: Change and Learning Community of Practice (COP) Notes & Actions [SEC=UNOFFICIAL]
Good Morning All and Happy Monday,
Please see the below presentations, notes and action items from our Community of Practice meeting last Thursday.
Forward View of Change (FVoC) Presentation – s22(1)(a)(ii) - irrelevant material, Change Manager – Delivery and Change Office
- This month’s data does not include IA and ACE as these rollouts are now on hold.
- Data is in the gathering phase, with a revised view to be available in the coming weeks.
- Planning workload looking to slow down in the coming months.
Questions in Chat:
- Is it possible to incorporate other elements of work that impact on workloads? For example unscheduled reviews, escalations to TAT, work associated with plan rejections.
- Do we take it that carry over R&N training (module 3 & 4) needs to be completed by end of June?
Action: s42 - legal prof to qualify where the workload data comes from with the BI team
Continuous Improvement (CI) Connect Presentation – s22(1)(a)(ii) - irrelevant material, Assistant Director – Performance, Learning and Change Branch
- CI Connect app will work on a 4 week cycle, allowing teams to identify and implement change with frontline staff.
- Program was piloted internally with positive feedback, Partner pilot to commence in May for 3 weeks – Communication to come from partner performance team on how to nominate to be involved in the pilot.
- Program launch for all partners scheduled for July
Questions in Chat:
- How do we get on the agenda for CI Connect?
- Would you be expecting partners to have the same topic - so that the agency would only have to develop One Leap module in the partner space?
3 Page 150 of 190
FOI 21/22-1299
- What if our organisations and teams already have our own supervision and support frameworks that are working? Do we have to change all of this?
- Are CI connect Champions Agency or Partner staff?
- I am hearing this is a framework for managing existing training - is this correct?
- Is the pilot running within the Agency, or with partners involved?
- Roughly when would EC partners be invited?
Action:
redacted: s22(1)(a)(ii) - irrelevantto confirm with Partner Performance and Partner Contracts branch on whether this will be an opt in service for those partners with improvement frameworks already in place
New Starter Program (NSP) Update – redacted: s22(1)(a)(ii) - irrelevant material, Assistant Director – Performance, Learning and Change Branch
- Currently working to update the NSP training, L&D and Workplace trainers will be included in this update.
- The update will reconsider the structure and timeframe of the training whilst looking to include new training resources including the latest R&N training.
- Trial to begin 17th May, 2021
Questions in Chat:
- Will the R and N written justification training resources be available to Partners before the pilot?
- We have received an ECEI program for new starters based on a number of existing NSP modules - Are you consulting with the ECEI space for the update?
- Is there a chance for individuals to be a part of the working group outside of the NDIS - to share gaps that we see often or anything like that - or is that best sent through email as a feedback type? Action: Partners encouraged to continue sending feedback through relating to NSP for consideration
Disability Business Training – redacted: s22(1)(a)(ii) - irrelevant material, EL1 – Connectors Branch
- Disability Business Training, facilitated by First People Disability Network, is available as optional training for any partners who are interested.
- The training will be hosted online via Microsoft Teams for a duration of 2.5 hours and is open to all Partners.
- Partners are welcome to have an L&D rep attend an early session of the training to identify suitability for your team
Questions:
- When will this training take place?
- How will we find out when this training is being rolled out?
- Is there a train the trainer for this or is it being delivered from the agency only?
Action:
redacted: s22(1)(a)(ii) - irrelevantto provide training schedule including dates training is available and information regarding the registration process

Hi `s22(1)(a)(i!
I put together a more detailed overview of the pilot and would like to run through it with the Partners when we have the final list available.
I thought you might like to see the information and provide input on changes or make recommendations to improve it
So far the package is pretty broad, so potentially we could run through it with all the leaders and teams contributing to the pilot, but we might also refine it to be for leaders only. I anticipate we could cover all of the material in about 1 hour, with maybe 15-20 minutes for Q&A.
Please see the attached PowerPoint and feel free to reach out with any questions or feedback!
Kind Regards,
