Freedom of Information Request No. (10) 22/23-1 — Notice of Decision on Access
I refer to your email received by the National Disability Insurance Agency on 13 September 2022, and subsequently transferred to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (the Commission), in which you requested access under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) (FOI Act) to the most up-to-date list available of all registered service providers.
On 21 September your request for access was acknowledged and on 29 September 2022 the document you requested was released to you on an informal basis. You were invited to withdraw your FOI request but did not.
As an officer authorised under section 23 of the FOI Act I have decided to grant you access to the document. On considering your request, I have concluded that the document you seek access to is not subject to any exemptions or conditional exemptions under Part IV of the FOI Act. I have also decided it is not contrary to the public interest to release the document to you.
The document reflects information contained on a publicly available (and searchable) list of NDIS providers who are registered with the NDIS Commission. The document released to you is correct only as at 20 September 2022. I strongly encourage you to rely on the NDIS Commission’s publicly available register for current information on registered NDIS providers as this register is updated regularly.
A schedule showing the outcome of your request for access is at Attachment A.
