Hi s22(1)(a)(ii) - irrelevant m
Thanks for your email.
The comment was in relation to the L & D plan on page 2. If ND have flexibility to choose a local topic per quarter (2 national topics and one local) how will these materials be developed, will they be state by state based on topic and then created and uploaded to LEAP for staff in that particular state to enrol and access? Or is this process only for the 2 national topics and a different model required for the local topic?

FOI: 21/22-1299
The Performance, Learning, and Change Unit will schedule a monthly ‘CI Connect’ topic via LEAP. All team members must enrol to access the learning activities. It is important to note that the 4 week learning plan is separate or addition to existing meetings, the materials are to be incorporated into current meeting schedules.

Hi `redacted: s22(1)(a)(ii) - irrelevant m, I wanted to clarify how you would define flexibility for National Delivery staff for this program?
This information will help me ensure that our expectations are aligned and that we have effectively flagged all the necessary risks. This context will assist my team to ensure our
2
Page 32 of 190communications are clear about the expectations of when and how the materials should be utilised by staff.
Currently, the flexibility in the program would lie within what activities the team leaders utilise within their facilitated team discussion and within their one on one coaching. In addition, the state based (local) topic each quarter will allow for specific themes at a local level to be covered and addressed.
Reference – “L & D plan – how will the CI connect topic for each staff member be determined and uploaded if there is flexibility as to the topic?”

Thanks s22(1)(a)(i ) - irrelevant material
Can you please provide an updated version for me to share with s22(1)(a)(ii) - ir prior to presenting to State/Branch Managers.
I think it is really important that ND can review the L & D materials before circulation to front line staff. We have recently had a couple of situations where the L & D materials did not quite hit the mark so it’s important to have ND review and endorse first.

Thanks redacted – good comments. I will liaise with redacted and get back to you.
IN the interim, my thoughts :
- Yes – agree we should look at the language
- I think we did say 2 national and 1 local based on the data and monthly quality reports. Thanks for picking this up.
- I did not see the CI Connect topic as differing for each staff member but they may choose to work on a specific area, arising from the training, for that month.
- Not sure about the review – ideally yes, but will depend on timeframes I suspect. I was mapping/drawing the prioritisation of topics process, who needs to be involved and when and I think that may need a lag time of a couple of months. Hopefully if we can get ahead of the scheduling of topics it will give time for review.
- Yes – I think we have a training package that could be included.
Is there another State Mangers meeting and do you want us to present again and/or provide an updated paper with the training package?
redacted – including you as I have received an out of office message from redacted and it would be good to keep this moving please.
Thanks

Hi s22(1)(a)(ii) - irrelevant
Happy New Year to you too and my apologies for the delay in responding.
Please see some feedback below. I am happy to catch up over a teams meeting if that is easier?
-
Language of non-conformance – this appears throughout the overview, it is strong language which indicates “failure” rather than opportunity for continuous improvement following review. The deep dive and audit reports are referred to as such and not as non conformity reports – this seems to be new language?
-
Two of which will be national topic – If states or regions do not select the national option……. – I thought they must do 2 national for consistency and they can choose one local?
-
L & D plan – how will the CI connect topic for each staff member be determined and uploaded if there is flexibility as to the topic?
-
Will ND leadership team have the opportunity to review the learning & coaching packages for each CI Connect topic?
-
It would be good to have an overview of one of the first topics to present along with this paper. Is there anything currently in development?

Hi redacted: s22(1)(a)(ii) - irrelevant,
Happy New Year!
Following up my list of early year To Dos and this is one of them. I am keen to keep this moving so that we can progress and commence as soon as possible.
Appreciate advice in terms of next steps and whether you have any changes and/or this can be forwarded to redacted: s22(1)(a)(i) - and redacted: s22(1) for endorsement? Can you also let me know what would be the preferred approach pls? i.e. would this need to be a formal briefing paper or would an email suffice given previous discussions?
Thanks
