Dear Ben Fairless

Freedom of Information request — Notice of Decision

Thank you for your correspondence of 13 December 2025 (your correspondence), seeking access under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) to documents held by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).

The purpose of this letter is to provide you with a decision on your request.

Scope of your request

You have requested access to the following documents:

“I would like access to the “Redaction Codes on SharePoint” mentioned in Section 3

(page 5 of 9) of this document released under FOI 24/25-0116:

I do not require the personal information or direct contact details of any individual. I

consent to a 30 day extension of time to process this request if you require it - just let

me know if you need it. If you think you may need more time, please reach out and

let me know.

Given the likely nature of the documents, I am requesting documents in their original

form (as “XML” files). If they can’t be sent via email, I understand you can compress

them into a “ZIP” file to send them.”

Processing Timeframes The FOI Act provides 30 calendar days for the processing of an FOI request after it is received. As your valid FOI request was received on 13 December 2025, the original due date for your request was 12 January 2026.

                                                                                     1

In your correspondence of 13 December 2025, you stated that you consent to a 30-day extension of time under section 15AA of the FOI Act, this has therefore made the new date to provide you a decision on access 11 February 2026.

Searches conducted

Given your request was for ‘Redaction Codes on SharePoint’ as referenced in a document from the Freedom of Information Team released under FOI 24/25-0116, I conducted the search myself of our systems.

The document referenced contains a link to the folder containing the documents requested, however, this link is broken. I therefore conducted a search of the FOI Teams SharePoint for the referenced folder and located it as being archived.

As a result of this search, I located two (2) documents relevant to the scope of your request.

This search was conducted on 13 January 2026.

Decision

I am the authorised officer pursuant to section 23(1) of the FOI Act to make a decision on this FOI request.

I have decided to:

• Grant access in full to 2 documents

The decision in relation to each document is detailed in the schedule of documents at

Attachment A.

Rights of review

Your rights to seek a review of my decision, or lodge a complaint, are set out at

Attachment B.

                                                                     2

Should you have any enquiries concerning this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me by email at foi@ndis.gov.au.

Yours sincerely

Patrick (PHO293) Senior Freedom of Information Officer Information Access and Privacy Branch Reviews and Information Release Division
