FOI 21/22-0720: New Access requests and ongoing access eligibility teams

“Does the NDIA have separate teams to deal with new access requests and ongoing access request eligibility? If so, how many APS are assigned to each respectively?”

The National Access Assessor Team in the National Disability Insurance Agency has responsibility for both initial access decisions and eligibility reassessment decisions.

This team have expertise in applying the legislation for eligibility to the NDIS which crosses over both of these work types, noting that the Age requirements don’t apply for eligibility reassessment.

The total number of staff in the National Access Assessor Team is 156.
