understand when we can give the participant an opportunity to provide more information
upload evidence to support the eligibility reassessment case
assign the case to the Eligibility Reassessment Routing Queue.

2 Before you start

You have:

read about eligibility in Our Guideline - Applying to the NDIS (external) and Our Guideline - Leaving the NDIS (external)
received evidence from a participant to support their eligibility reassessment case
confirmed there’s an open eligibility reassessment case for the participant.

IMPORTANT: This article is for existing participants who are having their eligibility to remain in the NDIS reassessed. It’s not for new applications to join the NDIS or for closed eligibility reassessment cases.

3 Understand when we give the participant an opportunity to provide more information

During the participant’s eligibility reassessment, the delegate can give the participant the opportunity to provide additional supporting evidence.

The eligibility reassessment assessor will send the participant the manual Letter - Eligibility reassessment opportunity to respond, then the eligibility reassessment will begin. For more information go to article Notify the participant about an eligibility reassessment.

4 Upload evidence to support the eligibility reassessment case

When the participant responds to the letter and submits supporting evidence, upload the evidence to the existing eligibility reassessment case in the Documents tab. Use article Add documents to a case.

Note: In article Add documents to a case at Please select a Document Category, select Supporting Information.

Go to the Evidence tab on the Manage Evidence screen.
For the relevant evidence, select the toggle at Link to Case. This links the evidence to the case. Note: If the evidence isn’t appearing, refresh the screen.
Check the Person account, Documents tab. If the evidence doesn’t appear, upload it here.
Go to My Profile then the Evidence tab.
In the Manage Evidence select the toggle at Link to Case. This links the evidence to the case.

Note: If the evidence isn’t appearing, refresh the screen. You can also view uploaded documents using the Eligibility Reassessment case, in the Documents tab through the Person Account.

5 Next Steps

The Eligibility Reassessment case will be in the Eligibility Reassessment Hold Queue until the hold time ends. The time may change if we grant an evidence extension request.

When the Eligibility Reassessment Hold Queue time ends, the case will be sent to an eligibility reassessment assessor. The assessor will then review the supporting evidence using article Review supporting evidence for an eligibility assessment referral.
